Nova Scotia Summer Fest – hosted by Ana Almeida of CTV and Founder/Executive Director Ray Mattie

Friday August 23rd is themed Hip Hop/Rock with Juno & ECMA award winner Classified headlining. Additional acts on August 23rd include Halifax Rocker Christine Campbell, Cape Breton’s jam band Slowcoaster, Halifax ECMA winning electrotonic duo Pineo & Loeb and more. Special appearances by singers Andrew Hunter and teen pop rising star Maura Witman.

Saturday August 24th is Roots/Maritime featuring Great Big Sea singer Alan Doyle as the headliner. Doyle will be joined on the bill by Cape Breton’s Heather Rankin, Toronto based Juno nominees The Good Lovelies, ECMA nominees Hillsburn, Juno nominees Cassie & Maggie, Come From Away star fiddler Anna Ludlow, Halifax pub favourite McGinty and more.

Heather Rankin’s appearance will see her host a new version of the traditional songwriters’ circle with a “Songwriters Showcase”. This unique aspect of the festival will feature a series of recording artists who will perform their original songs as the lone act during their segment with some of the industry’s best back up musicians billed at The Summer Fest All-Star Band. Artist’s featured include Maura Witmen, Christine Campbell, Shemius MacLeod and Brent Collins. Additional appearances by Antigonish singer Eddie Cummings.

In keeping with the Nova Scotia Summer Fest theme, various provincial products will be featured including Garrison Brews and Blue Lobster Vodka, Rum & Gin, Annapolis Valley wine Avondale Sky, Just Us Coffee and more. Antigonish unique vendors include favourites The Waffle Bus, The Cabot Oyster Bar, Back East Seafood and more.

The Keppoch Mountain Society will oversee guided bike tours, guided hikes, a family zone and wine tastings. East Coast Credit Union is the presenting sponsor and media partners include 101.3 Virgin Radio Halifax & 98.9 XFM Antigonish. Nova Scotia Summer Fest merchandise is cross branded with the popular brand East Coast Lifestyle.

Day Passes are $50 + taxes and weekend passes are $90 + taxes. Camping and tenting is available onsite as well as limited VIP tickets.
