Several local acts among 2017 ECMA nominees

A number of local artists are up for East Coast Music Awards.

The 2017 ECMA nominees were announced Tuesday.

Mabou’s Heather Rankin is up for Folk Recording of the Year for A Fine Line.

Also, the music video for her song “We Walk As One” was nominated in the Fans’ Choice Video of the Year category.

The Town Heroes (Inverness Co.) have been nominated for Group Recording of the Year for Please, Everyone; the video for their song,
